BioCore ProductToday, three main types of wood panels are used in the furniture, construction and packaging industry: Particleboard, plywood and medium density fiberboard (MDF). These panels are usually produced as 1250 x 2500 mm panels of a thickness from 3-40 mm. The costs of these panels vary widely, depending on the quality and manufacturing process used, but they are all based on wood as raw material.

The product manufactured with FIBERTECH technology is made from agricultural residues, and is a cross between particleboard and light density fibreboard. Production costs are comparable to those of particleboard, the least expensive type of wood panel.

A sister company to FIBERTECH SYSTEMS A/S, ABCo ApS (Agro Biomass Consult) has registered a product patent and the trade name BioCore®, which can be used in the marketing of boards and moulded panels produced with FIBERTECH technology and equipment.

The products can be marketed under the name BioCore®. The quality of the product is equivalent to conventional wood-based particleboard, but it is very light (Density 290-400 kg/m3), have extraordinary thermal insulation qualities (λ=0,05), and cannot support own burning EUROCLASS D).

BioCore® Characteristics
  • Low production costs (dry process)
  • Small batch manufacturing
  • Light board capability
  • Environmentally acceptable raw materials
  • Low formaldehyde emissions (less than E1)
  • High dimension stability under different temperature and moisture conditions.
  • Surface can be treated with most traditional materials with extreme good results (plaster, wall paper, structural paints etc.)

Important characteristics of the product are:
